An unlucky Friday the 13th for them...I'm originally from Erie, Pa. I wonder if my mom has snow right now....hehe...In Boston, we don't usually get big snow until January:)
BTW, I found you by clicking the 'next blog' button.
Yes. I miss the rusted out undercarriages of cars, salt-ruined shoes, twisted knees from slipping on ice, fender benders, shoveling snow, frozen plants, dirt stained snow piled up on road sides, and chapped lips. Yes. I too miss winter up north.
I don't mind any of those things and I lived in the north MUCH MUCH longer then you did. SCROOGE!
I have to admit...that I...like Travis...am not much of a snow lover....but we did have a few flakes fall the last couple of days and my heart did melt as Christopher said over and over how he wanted to make a snowman! His excitement about the snow was SOOOOO cute...especially when he ran up to his room to grab his gloves.
Since I left Ohio when I was little, and grew up in Texas I had no concept of snow that I remembered....until I moved to Wisconsin. Those nine years were rough, gosh I remember the Jan we stayed at -30 with wind chill, we took the kids to the icescapades, and there was a truck in the hotel parking lot, jump starting everyone's cars!
I will admit, my older children do miss the snow. I even think a few days of it in december would be great....I am thinking Colorado would be the answer, snow, yet comfortable temps!
Ha, CO gets cold, don't let them fool ya. There are at least two straight weeks that are negative numbers and I know that for a fact having lived there for 8+ years. Nebraska is similar but a bit chillier as just a smidge farther north. *HUGS* to you, my fellow snow lover, Kelly and :P to your scroogey hubby. LOL
