My baby is five

It was just yesterday that I stayed up all night timing my contractions anticipating my week overdue daughter. My first baby! What a joy she brought to our lives. Five years later the joy is still flowing.

Kourtney is so much fun. She loves to laugh and make people laugh. She has a soft tender heart. She loves her brother and sister. If she has to miss school you would think she was missing Disney World. Her friends mean a lot to her and she will do anything to spend just one more minute with them. She is shy at first around people, but soon she will warm up and be joking around with anyone. She wants things done right. She is a pleaser. She will do anything for a piece of candy. She loves to color, paint, draw and sing. She is a great artist. She loves Jesus and loves learning about the Bible. She has a thirst for knowledge that is so refreshing. She has more questions than I have answers. Grammy calls her the activities director because she is always coming up with ideas about what to do and then convincing everyone with her charming ways that they should join in! She loves the computer and wants to play on noggin all the time. She is tall, beautiful, has soft waves in her hair and when it is really humid out her waves turn into curls. She loves to wear dresses and prefers them over any other item of clothing. She loves her daddy and loves playing outside. She has a memory that won't quit. She still talks about our dog Torri who was hit by a car in 2006. She likes sushi, pickels, bagels, long noodles, and yogurt. She does not like cheese, hamburgers, or sour cream. I love being her mom.

When she watched this video the first time (about a month ago) she started crying as soon as it was over. She said she missed Grammy. She cried for 15 straight minutes. Today when I showed her the video she immediately started crying again. She said she missed Torri. Then she told me she never wanted to watch the video again so she wouldn't cry anymore. She is ALL girl.
