2005 Johnson Christmas Letter

For those of you who received a Christmas card from us and are logging on for the anual Christmas letter, here it is!

It has been a great year for us! We added three new family members... a daughter and two sister-in-laws! Moved into a new home (again). And survived another crazy hurricane season with very little damage to speak of.

In January we were told we were having a boy. We chose the name Luke Zachary and all of our friends and family joined in the excitement!

In May we moved (again) into the house that we had been building. We have one more move next summer into another new construction home. God has blessed us with the real estate we have!

Travis' brother, Phillip was married June 13th. It was nice to see so many family and friends. We love Marcela! She is a great sister and aunt.

Our biggest surprise this year came in the delivery room on July 11th at 4:08 PM when we went to the hospital to deliver Luke. The doctor told us we had a really big (9 lbs to be exact) girl! We named her McKenna Grace! Kourtney calls her “McKenna banana.” McKenna is a bundle of joy and smiles at anyone who will glance her way.

Kourtney embraced McKenna from day one and loves her sister very much. She continues to amaze us with her sheer brilliance and McKenna is not far behind her. Kourtney can count to 20, say her ABC’s, tell us who the president is, and spell her name. In all of that, I can only get her to sit on the potty if I give her a piece of candy. Any advice is welcome! Two in diapers is trying!

Kelly's brother, Kevin, was married in September. It was a simple, quiet ceremony... until the flower girl came out! I guess with the long day and the fact that she wanted her daddy she had a melt down... right down the isle.

In November we lost a family member. Our welsh terrier, Torri, was hit by a car. It was a very sad day. Kourtney asked where she went and still calls her sometimes when we are outside.

We feel very blessed by God during this Christmas season. We hope that you are able to take a minute to reflect this holiday about why we are celebrating. We pray that God greatly blesses you and we wish you a wonderful New Year.

Travis, Kelly, Kourtney, and McKenna
