McKenna's 7th Birthday

McKenna Grace is 7.  I can hardly believe it.  But isn't that what we say every time a kid has a birthday?  Life is flying by and I am privileged to be the mom of such great kids.  McKenna will be starting 2nd grade next year.  She is an excellent reader and did awesome in 1st grade.  McKenna loves pink, ballerinas, anything frilly, shaking her groove thing to music, animals, and playing on the wii... or dsi :).  She loves her siblings.  She loves her friends.  When we walk into a playground she tells me, mommy, I am going to make some new friends... and off she goes.  She is sensitive to the Lord and sometimes asks me to pray with her about things in her life.  She loves painted nails, dresses, and lip gloss but don't let that fool you, she can run with the best of the boys.  She is a precious gem and I love her to bits.

With a baby shower cake to make this week Kourtney offered to help me with the cupcakes.  She designed them, baked them, decorated them.  The only thing I helped a little with was getting them in the cupcake papers.  She did a great job!

Apparently Blake was unhappy about something.
We started the birthday morning out at Key Largo Baptist VBS.  They did a great job!
Then home where we opened the gift from Grammy and Grandpa - the American Girl doll named (what else?!) McKenna!

Loving the crazy faces

This was not a forced picture.  I did not tell them to do this.  It was just a happy moment and they love each other!

McKenna chose three friends to bring to Build a Bear and dinner.  It was such a pleasant, stress free night!  I did NO planning and bought nothing before the big day :).  The girls were great and everyone had so much fun!

I did not have a planned party at Build a Bear but when they found out it was McKenna's birthday they treated her like royalty.  Did a whole little routine for her.  They are great there.

Then off to Shakey's where we met Papa, Nana, Uncle Phil, and Aunt Marcela.

Finally sound asleep :)
