Blake saying "dada"

He also says "bay bay." So Travis is trying to get him say it. But Blake just wants to say dada because that is who is holding him!

Poolside

Kourtney is a fish. She can swim above water and under water with goggles and without any floaties (she just happens to have them on here).
Blake would like to be a fish
McKenna is working on it. She is very confident in the water as long as she has a float devise of some type on.

A day in the life of Kelly

When I was pregnant with Kourtney I joined a board for mommies expecting at the same time and we have kept in touch for 5 years now. We recently gave ourselves a project to put together a video of what a day in our life would look like. Here is mine. Enjoy.

Name my Sunday blog

Travis has bugged me for a while to do a Sunday wrap up. I have put it off until now. I actually have some good stuff to blog about now that I am the director of the 2 yr old class at Life Pointe Church. So I need your help. Name my wrap up. So far we have...

Travis' "Sunday Wrap-Up"
Chris Day's "Tossed Salad"
Phillip Johnson's "Sunday Talk Soup"
Ritz's "Goosfaba"
Paul Hollifield's "Sunday Stew" - although the last one was June 8th :D
Jesse Santoyo's Whatever he wants to call it that day
Billy Finch's "Sunday Muddle"

So, name my wrap up for me. I will take the entry I like best!

Now, on to my nameless post...

I dressed my kids in their patriotic attire for church today. July 4th is one of my favorite holidays. I can't wait until Friday for the Fireworks. BTW, meet at the Sports Complex under the HUGE LPC blue flags and we are heading in together at 7:30.
This is my 3rd week as Director of the two year olds and I have lost 2 people and will be losing more in August! This is my shameless plug to recruit more volunteers in my area!!! If you are interested in helping with 2 yr olds let me know! It is such a rewarding place to serve at Life Pointe. So I arrived at the theater around 8:20 and headed to my room to get things ready. Jennifer Davis teaches in the 9 am while I attend church and I teach in the 10:30 am. I think we had one of the biggest crowds of 2 yr olds yet... 14 in the 10:30 and there were 16 3-4 yr olds at the top! Awesome stuff!!!

After church we headed over to the hippest church office in South Florida for a blogging seminar. It was fun hanging out with people. I love my church.

While LPC might have the grooviest office in town, it may not be the cleanest...
Of course my day is never really over until the kids go to bed. They just got out of the tub, I started some laundry, and I am about to do dinner... a mother's day is never really over. Check out my blog tomorrow for more on that.

Do you drink your cereal milk?

This is something I have never done. I always just dump my milk. The extra sweet liquid just seemed gross (which is weird if you know how much I like sweets). But in light of milk prices lately, I am thinking of changing my ways just for the sake of not wasting a few sips of $4.00/gallon milk!

Guess who?

I see you kissin' mama!

Backyardigans song

This is on the way home from the picnic. The girls were singing the Backyardigans theme song.

Highlights: I do realize Kourtney's chest belt is behind her - it was stuck. At the very end of the video Kourtney asks want to see that again? McKenna says yes and then with a scowl on her face, "that's not the song!"

Videos from the day

Highlights - in the middle of the video, Kourtney walks up and says, "Mom, can I have a sleep over with Julie and Sara?" My response, "We'll see." Lisette will know what that means ;).

Highlights - I started filming McKenna brushing the sand off of her feet (she is my daughter). Then I walked over to find Blake and interrupted Travis putting him into the water as crocodile bate!

Shew - I'm tired

We partied hard this weekend. A quince on Friday night, a birthday party on Saturday, and a baptism/picnic with the church today. I need a break from the weekend!
Travis in a pink polka dot towel... no man bag though!
Julia and Sara's 6th birthday party
My little stud
McKenna and Blake at the picnic
No one told Blake that there really wasn't a crocodileLook out!
Elijah, Serenity, Maggie, Kourtney, Meredith, Julia, and Sara (I don't have to guess on that anymore!)

Something in the air

This is where I slept last night. It was actually pretty comfy and Travis and I felt like we were kids again. The girls were in our bed because their room is the absolute worst of them all (it has a circulation problem). Something is wrong with our AC. The place that installed it had our two units switched the wrong way for a whole year. They came and fixed them and replaced some bad coils at Christmas. Now 6 months later something is wrong again. And not just with one unit - with both the upstairs AND downstairs units. No fun. Hopefully the technician is nice tomorrow and gets it all figured out.

Seems that something is in the air. My brother's AC went out last week. I do not wish the same on anyone else.

Happy Belated Father's Day

I could not have asked for a more wonderful father for my kids. He loves them so much and will do anything for them. In the last month he... has been up in the middle of the night helping me clean up puke and bathing Kourtney at 4am, took McKenna to the pediatric emergency care when her foot was too swollen to walk on, and just last night let the girls sleep in our bed and we shacked up downstairs because our AC is broken (and our room is the coolest upstairs)! He reads stories from his Bible to them when he puts them to bed. I am very blessed. I love you Travis!
I also have a wonderful dad who I grew up loving. He raised me to love God. He gave me rules and guidelines that at the time drove me crazy and that now I am so thankful for. People tell me I look like him. Growing up he was... my dad, my school principal, my history and Bible teacher, my drama coach, the basketball coach for the team I cheered for, and associate pastor at my church. One of my favorite memories was when we put on "The Gospel According to Scrooge" at my church. He was Scrooge and I was the Angel of Christmas past. We walked around for months speaking in a British accent. Thanks for a wonderful childhood dad. I love you!

My McKenna

Cut her hair last week
Threw a tap shoe at her sister's head tonight (though I believe it was not intended to hurt)
And has been rolling her "R"'s all day
She's a gem!

Blake pulling himself up to stand

I can't keep up with Blake. He is 7 months old and already pulling himself to stand and cruised on furniture in the hotel room. He is a fire ball!

Rainbow at Wimauma Camp Ground

At Thursday night's camp meeting service I was walking Blake around outside trying to get him to fall asleep (because there is no child care at Florida State Camp Meeting - go figure) and this beautiful rainbow was over the church. I love rainbows.

Happy Birthday My Love

I had to hijack Travis' computer while he is taking a phone call just to post this. We are in Tampa today at COG Camp Meeting.

Travis... I love you more every year. I will never forget the first birthday of yours we spent together before we were even married. I learned that you really aren't a big birthday cake fan. I have learned something new about you every year since. I look forward to learning more about you and growing in old and in love with you more every year. Happy Birthday - the first spent with your son.

The girls have been so cute about your birthday this year. Kourtney wanted to know what kind of birthday you were having - I guess they think there is always a theme. She announced to me that your theme would just be a "Man birthday." Both girls wanted to wear their "Daddy" t-shirts all day. When I told McKenna it was your birthday all she said was, "Mmmmmmm....." I guess she thinks of cake (she is my daughter).

Pics to come later... Blake is yelling at me from across the room to give him a snack. We all love you.

Time to go get a baby gate...

Blake is officially a stair climber. I don't remember putting up a baby gate for the girls... but then they didn't crawl at 7 months.
