Look what Grammy has gotten us into...

36 Polly Pocket dolls (including a few Disney gals), 25 pets, 6 cars, 2 couches, 1 bed, a scooter, 1,000 outfits, and a million itsy bitsy small shoes. The girls LOVE their Polly Pocket obsession.

100 days old

Thanks Chris Day for reminding me on Sunday that my son would be celebrating 100 days today! You are too funny!

Why I blog - who will I marry?

I don't want to forget things like this. These times are so precious. My mom had told me of a similar conversation she had with Kourtney over Christmas. This was my first hand experience...

Kourtney: Mommy, how will I find a boy to marry?

Me: Well, when I was younger Grandpa and Grammy used to pray with me that I would find the right man to marry. Then I met your daddy and he was perfect for me.

Kourtney: Well, we haven't done that in a while.

Me: Done what?

Kourtney: Pray for a boy for me.

Me: We'll do it tonight.

Kourtney: Okay.

She has also mentioned marrying her brother. I tell her she can't and she says she doesn't want anyone else getting him.
How did I get so blessed? She is such a thinker and so innocent!

The Walgreens bust

I was checking out at Walgreens yesterday on Campbell and US1 when someone ran in and said, there are like 5 cop cars out there and they have their guns pulled trying to get someone! That freaked me out enough to wait a few minutes before going out. I was with all 3 kids by myself! By the time I did go out, there were 5 guys on the ground hand-cuffed.

Travis has trained me to take pictures of everything, so I grabbed these pics after I got to my car. I was afraid while I was doing it that I was doing something wrong. Kourtney said, mom, why are they under arrest? I had no idea, but it was a little freaky!

Blake with Aunt Marcela

He was a stud at church on Sunday. I need to get a better picture of him in this cap... it is SOOO cute!

Guess Who!?!?

Blake eating cereal for the first time??? Nope. This is McKenna at 4 months old! They look a lot alike at this age. McKenna just has prettier, girly eyes and Blake's are more like daddy's.

The 3 musketeers

Watching Peter Pan at Papa and Nana's house after church. Excuse Kourtney's mix-matched outfit ;)

That's my girl

This grosses Travis out. I love it!

It's raining, it's pouring

I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried. On the way home from the park today:

Kourtney: Why didn't the man who bumped his head get up in the morning?

Me: Well he probably had a headache and wanted to sleep in
Kourtney: But didn't he want breakfast?

McKenna: I want french fries! I'm hungry!

Art Interpretation

Kourtney: A boy snowman and a girl snowman. Guess which one is the girl...
Kourtney: She is standing under an orange tree. The blue lines are winds blowing the oranges off the tree.
McKenna: An apple tree, apples, dinosaur prints, and a sun
McKenna: two snowmen
Kourtney: the creature is a deer with antlers.

Blogworthy... "pop" or "soda"

Kourtney: Mommy, what do you call Sprite?
Me: Pop
Kourtney: Why?
Me: Because I am from Ohio
Kourtney: Where am I from again?
Me: Miami
Kourtney: Oh. And what do "Miami girls" call Sprite?
Me: Soda... but you can call it pop because I am from Ohio and you are my daughter
Kourtney: Well, I better call it soda instead.

Great. I lost that battle. I am outnumbered. Check out this website that breaks it down in our great country

Blake this week

Blake has discovered his feet and loves playing with them. He also appears to have two teeth coming in on the bottom already. I don't get that. He is only 3 months old! He is very smiley and has slept through the night (7-8 hrs) for the last three nights!
Our little Lee University man. According to his left hand, it looks like he wants to be a Chi guy. Bad boy.Blake and Diego - future partners in crime.

McKenna this week

Her vocabulary is incredible for her age. She does get somethings mixed up from time to time though...

McKenna-isms:
bathing soup - bathing suit
pattapillar - caterpillar
dr. pickle - Dr. Pepper

~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~

Apparently she is a modest girl. She'll close the door to the bathroom and if Kourtney peeks in... kourtneeyyeee - I'm goin potty!!

~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~

We went to IKEA last week. Kourtney got to play in the play area, McKenna was too short. So she rolled with us and had lots of fun...

Kourtney this week

Kourtney loves learning and asks every day why she can't go to school. She knows her friend Kayla goes and asks why she can go if she is 4 and Kourtney can't. It is very cute.
A chocolate smile
She pulled the chair next to her over from another table so her sister could share the cake with her. She is so thoughtful and always thinking of her siblings!
I guess they got worn out. This is Nathan, Meredith, and Kourtntey asleep on the couch after a long day of play!
Kourtney's "shiner" from running into her sister

Updates...

McKenna's bite turned into a bruise and then faded to yellow and is now almost gone.

She has done great on the potty with only one accident ALL week when she was playing with barbies. She still gets a diaper at night time for now.

I don't have time for this!!!

So Travis and I were driving up to IKEA last Friday and saw a billboard on I-95. Travis said, man, it looks like someone vandalized that billboard pretty bad. Then I looked closer (as I had time to do sitting still on 95) and saw this...

The billboard started out looking like this...

Knowing that Oceanic is the airline from LOST, I knew what was happening. It is part of "The Lost Experience" (TLE) that the writers and producers of LOST have so brilliantly come up with. It is like an interactive experience for fans to solve mysteries and get totally wrapped up in. Last year I spent way too much time involved in it. I just don't have time for it this year (with three kids and all) and I want to so badly!!!

I can tell from the non-responsiveness on my blog that NONE of my friends out there watch LOST like I do (except Kevin and Brittany)... but you still have a chance! Go rent the first 3 seasons and catch up! Here are the TLE websites to peak your interest...

I so wish I had time to waste on my message boards and chasing the clues. I can't wait for January 31st!!!!!

Day 4 of Potty Training

Four days, several pair of panties, and lots of candy later... McKenna is doing great. She hasn't had a real accident since the first day. A couple times she "peeps" just a little in her panties and then realizes she needs to go, but over all she seems to totally get it! Today will be the test... we are going to be out and about with the whole family all day.

She seems so proud of herself and her panties. Kourtney also get a piece of candy when she goes, so she has been excited about it too! I am thrilled. Two down, one to go!

Bug bite

Mom, I know you want to see the bug bite! So here it is. The puncture is at the top. Then there is a circle of light purple, a circle of red, and a circle of pink. This picture doesn't do it justice. It spans the width of my hand. Doctor said it is not infected and told me what to watch for. It doesn't itch or hurt, so that is good.

When the nurse took us back and said so what is wrong today, McKenna announced very loudly, I have a bug bite! She was also telling everyone in the waiting room that she had a bug bite. It was cute.

SO WHAT!!!!

My brother had to send these pictures and brag about the snow they got in Georgia. Is that Meah's coat that the snow man is wearing?!?!?

Back to the Lord

We dedicated Blake on Sunday... in a movie theater! I love our church. There were so many babies and families on stage. It was great.
