Does God hear us?

In the car...
Kourtney: "Mom, why don't we talk to God?"

Me: "We do. We pray every night before bed."
Kourtney: "Why can't we hear God?"
Me: "We can't hear Him with our ears, but we hear Him in our hearts."
Kourtney: "I think we should sit outside on the porch tonight so He can hear us better."
Me: "We don't have to be on the porch for God to hear us. He can hear us from your bed."
Kourtney: "But Hermie talked to God outside and He heard Him."

We arrive at home and proceed to get out of the car. Kourtney gets to the porch first while I am getting McKenna out of her seat. She sits down on the porch and says, "Hi God..."

Where's McKenna? She still loves to hide among the toys!

50 days to go

Crazy how close I am getting. I feel like an old lady these days, which makes it hard to chase two little kids. I waddle, get up slow, and pee all day. This baby must be sitting differently than my other two. I feel like I am carrying a bowling ball in my pelvis. Travis and I have finally picked a first name. Of course it is still a secret, but at least WE know, and we love it!

8 year anniversary

Today is our eight year anniversary. We watched our wedding video this morning with Kourtney. She wanted to marry daddy afterwards. She asked things like, did I ride there with Grammy? Where was I? I had questions like, what happened to my dad's hair? Did we really have that many songs? Why did I look so scared?!

Happy 8 years babe. It really does get better with each passing year. Learning, growing, laughing, crying, and having babies. I love you so much! Here's to 8 years, 1 dog, 7 houses, 2.75 kids, 6 cars, 3 states, 4 seasons of "24," and lots of love!

Funny Life Pointe video

We are using Kourtney's toys as the spokespeople for our series, "Jesus of Suburbia." So she was very disturbed when she saw this video. She wanted to know when she gets her toys back and where they are. The clip is great!

Minnie Mouse

We have returned from hiding and I am trying to get back into the swing of life. Unpacking is the worst part of trips!

I just had to share Kourtney's latest craze - Minnie Mouse. She saw her at Disney, went into her house, bought the toy (which she carries everywhere), and now wants a Minnie Birthday Party. I am loving it - a nice break from Disney Princesses! Then she saw my friend's daughter wearing a Minnie costume on myspace and decided she was going to actually BE Minnie for her party. So she tells everyone. "I am going to be Minnie for my birthday." Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is now her favorite show. This is such a fun age!

The Hollifields have arrived!

They are here! Paul, Annie, Nathan, Mariah, Maggie, and Meredith live right down the street from us now. This is gonna be fun. The girls were with me today while the truck was unloaded. They all play so well together.
