Pot of Gold?
Last year before Christmas we took a little tour of Miami out on the water with good ole' Captain Doug. As soon as we started the most bizarre things happened. First, a kite surfer jumped OVER our boat. It was so
crazy!
Here he comes
up and over...
...thank God he didn't hit us!
Then we saw a rainbow over the city. It was gorgeous and so surreal.
A close up on Vizcaya with the rainbow on it.
As time passed, we noticed the rainbow get closer and closer until eventually the rainbow was actually in the boat. You can barely see it in this picture, but it was an amazing thing to watch a rainbow actually chase me!

Quite literally
LICENSE "PLATES"
Kourtney: Why can't daddy drive his car?
Me: He needs a new license plate.
Kourtney: Why?
Me: It's the law.
Kourtney: Do we have to eat off of the license plates?

"EMAIL MYSELF"
This week Kourtney has learned about email. I let her type a message and type her name and we send it to daddy at the church. On her first email I said what do you want to say to send daddy a message? She said I want to send him a coffee pot (she knows her daddy well). So we typed that and hit send. Then daddy sent her back an imaginary pony to play with. So, she sort of gets email. That set up this little conversation I heard...
Travis: I can't email myself, something is wrong.
Kourtney: (with a worried look) Daddy, don't go through the computer! Stay here at the house!

Things Kids Say
Today McKenna brought me her shoes and asked me to put them on by sitting on the floor, putting her foot in the air, and saying "shoooes?" I obliged and then she said, "go bye bye?" So smart already!

Christmas Morning

We started the morning out reading the Christmas story and singing happy birthday to Jesus. A tradition that I will definately be keeping for my kids. All week long it was awesome to hear Kourtney ask if it was Jesus' birthday yet. Of course her real question was "when do we get to open presents," but I liked the way my 3-year old phrased it.

The girls had a blast opening and passing out gifts. Grandpa played Santa and Kourtney was Santa's Helper.
