Fun times

(My parents, Carl and Susan Webb)

My first General Assembly was in San Antonio when I was 12 years old. It was the first time I ever flew on an airplane and I remember having so much fun at Assembly. Well I got to bring my girls with me for the first time! It was exhausting having two nappers, but we had a lot of fun with my mom during the days while our husbands were in the meetings!
In Grammy Heaven
McKenna being entertained in the exhibit hall
Kourtney probably saying, "This is my sister, McKenna Banana Grace Johnson"
Just chillin

Ahhhh.... DZT!

Kelly, Abigail, Sarah, and Jennifer at the Lee Alumni Reception

More friends! These were a few friends from college who were in the same sorority - Delta Zeta Tau. Abigail and I were roomates for a few years. She has two gorgeous boys now. I was Sarah's big sister during induction. Sarah and Brent have a cute boy and a pretty little girl. They are going to Louisiana to be the state Youth Directors and that is where my parents are so I think we will see more of each other! Jenn always makes me laugh whenever I am around! She has two gorgeous girls and if they are anything like their parents I am sure they are fun to be around! I miss my old friends!

Old Friends

I got to see Melony Scott-Bradley and her two beautiful girls - all the way from New Zealand! They were very sweet. Our time together was brief, but it is always good to see old friends! Melony and I grew up together. My parents were on staff at Cathedral of Praise for 25 years where her dad, Tony Scott, pastored. We were in each other's weddings and then started having babies around the same time. It is neat to see my kids play with my friend's kids.
Of course getting 4 girls ages 1-5 to sit still at the same time for a picture was not easy.

The Disney Store

The first store we looked up in the mall was the Disney store. We were so excited they had one! But when we got there, it was closed. We tried to explain all week to Kourtney that we would not be shopping in the Disney store at all. However, every day we walked in the mall the frist thing she would say was, "I want to go to the Disney store please." Over and over we told her it was closed. Then on Thursday much to our surprise we walked by and they were open! She had a blast and Grammy spent way too much money!

The "Air Porch..."

...is what Kourtney refers to where we took off from. The girls have both flown before, but never together. They both did very well and entertained each other. They didn't cry (or sleep) too much!On the way home they met some really sweet girls!

"Emily" apolis

We had a good time in Indianapolis. We are all worn out but it was worth it to see family and friends... oh yeah, and go to church too. :)

We stayed at Embassy Suites...
It was connected to the RCA Dome via mall. How nice for us. We never had to leave the AC... just had to find elevators and ramps the whole time to accomodate the strollers. Our experience at Embassy wasn't the best. We had paint fumes in our room at 3am, a run in with an escalator, stuck on an elevator, rude employers, wet sheets, chaotic breakfast times, and a noisy stairwell... but we made it. The mall made up for it.

I got to see some great friends and meet some great new people.
I will have more time to post my pictures later, but for now, I had to share some things the girls did on the trip...
  • When we told Kourtney where we were going we said, "now can you say Indianapolis?" Her response was "Emily" apolis. It was cute. That is what we heard all week.
  • McKenna started getting very mobile (my one year old who barely walks). She is still afraid, but is getting more brave by the day. We thought we would have her take her first steps in the airport, but she didn't. She can now climb the stairs all by herself.
  • When Kourtney would meet one of my friends and they would try to talk to her, she would clam up. Then as soon as they would walk away she would say, "why was I shy mama?"
  • We met another McKenna... but she spelled her name Makenna. Her middle name was Faith. That was the first McKenna (or Makenna) we had ever met!
  • The girls decided not to sleep on the plane rides home. They finally crashed in the car at midnight! Kourtney took a 3 hr, 45 min nap today.
I have never been more ready to be home. I had fun traveling this summer but it is nice to know I will be here for a while.

Off to Indy

I have been a traveling maniac this summer. I am tired! Tonight I am packing tonight for my last trip. This will be the most exciting for me because I get to spend the week with my parents! We will all be at the Church of God General Assembly in Indianapolis. I hope to see some old friends too. When I get home I would like to say I can relax and catch up on my sleep, but we are closing on our house and moving as soon as we get back! I can't find the picture of the outside of it, but I will get it soon!

Mr. and Mrs. Ashe

Congratulations to my dear friend Jessica! What a great excuse to get away for a girls weekend. I left Kourtney and McKenna at home with dad and a few great sitters. I didn't touch a baby wipe all weekend. I admit that I was bored at times and I really missed Trav and the girls, it was good for me. I got to see some great friends that I haven't seen in a long time!

Brandon, Jenny, and Kaitlyn - what a cute family!
