Shhh...

Yesterday Kourtney ran in to tell me that McKenna was sleeping on the floor. I said, oh she's so cute. To which Kourtney said, "Do you wanna take a picture of her?"

The Big Apple

I went to New York City for the first time ever! We had a blast. We went for a wedding of one of my friends from high school, Carolina. It was a beautiful wedding. We took McKenna (only because she won't take a bottle and is still nursing!) and left Kourtney with Papa and Nana Johnson. Every day we walked to the bus stop, took the bus to the train and took the train down town. It was a blast and McKenna was an angel the whole time. Friday we went downtown. I loved Time Square and walking around in that whole area. When we first got to Time Square McKenna was sound asleep! We got to talk on the phone with Kourtney while we were there! Saturday we headed back down town and walked around 5th ave and got some "prizes" to bring home to Kourtney. Sunday we went to ground zero and saw the WTC site and the chapel that went unharmed.

SubwayWe had a Starbucks every couple hours while we were down town. McKenna inside enjoying some crumb cake!

Finger foods

McKenna ate in a high chair for the first time. I should get hers out at home but is a pain to put up when we show the house! So she really enjoyed herself! Kourtney always loves it when her sister does new things.

Grandpa Webb

Grandpa Webb (my dad's dad) stopped by on his way to... oh wait a minute... Miami isn't on the way to ANYTHING! He came down like he does every year and visited us. Kourtney took right to him and enjoyed showing off for three entire days. Here the girls are in their cowgirl hats.

Dolphin Mall

Kourtney's favorite place to go is the Dolphin mall to play with the kids. Well this week McKenna joined her sister on the floor for her first ever mall play time. She isn't crawling yet, but she can sit with the best of them! Kourtney had to give her some tips before she was ready to play.She was cool and collected as she watched the kids play. Of course Kourtney always makes friend. This day, it happened to be a boy. I had to hold Travis back!

McKenna

McKenna is still not crawling - or anywhere close to it. She cries whenever put on her tummy. She loves to sit though - especially with a pile of toys in front of her. She can be entertained forever that way.

She loves to laugh at her sister and daddy. She kicks her legs and gasps with excitement when they even enter the room.

She is not liking bath time so much these days. I don't know why. She has always loved it but the last 2 weeks she screams whenever put in the tub.

She is a gem.

Kourtney's favorite new phrases

"I want to do it ALL BY MYSELF!" To which she attempts to do whatever task is at hand. Putting on her shoes, opening her fruit cup, climbing in her carseat... man she sure is independent!

"What for?" To ANYTHING!!! The sky is blue - what for mommy? Because God made it that way - what for mommy? Because he likes that color - what for mommy?

"I'm sorry mommy (or daddy)." She immediately says she's sorry at even the hint of her being in trouble. I think she figures it will get her out of trouble. Maybe she will avoid time out or a spanking if she apologizes first. NOT!

"Right?" Whenever trying to make sure what she has said is right. Like - the sky is blue, right? Her voice goes up at the end. It sounds like ryeet?

She is so cute!

Little People

Kourtney and McKenna LOVE playing with their little people (fisher price). McKenna especially loves hearing the noises from the farm and eating the people (or at least licking them clean). Kourtney likes to play make believe. It is fun just to listen in on her and what she tells them. At any given time you can hear her put the people in time out, tell the little people that it's "her daddy," tell them to stop fighting, or that it's time to go to the mall - and then she loads them all up in the little people SUV. These times are priceless!

"McKenna Banana"

From the time we brought McKenna home from the hospital anyone who asked Kourtney what her sister's name was she said "McKenna Banana ." Well McKenna proved that to be true today when she ate an entire banana - sometimes shoving massive amounts in her mouth! Uncle Phil is holding her!

Church Kids

Sundays are always long days for the girls. We are up and to the church around 9:30. We usually leave the church around 1:00ish and go to lunch. From lunch we usually get home around 3:30 or so. By this time the girls are just wiped out (and so is mommy!). I caught a pictures of Kourtney and dad walking into the office today and wanted to share.
